Trulia’s New Snapshot View

Trulia Snapshot
Today Trulia launched Trulia Snapshot, from that allows you to view properties in a visual way directly on a map. It’s pretty easy to use, just search for any city in the U.S., can click around the map, scroll the slider through the most expensive/least expensive homes in your neighborhood, or just hit the big play button on the left to sit back and let your dream home find you.

The one drawback I found right away is you can’t define most criteria like most standard searches, and to modify the price range you have multiple clicks on a slider bar to find your price range. It defaults to the “most expensive” view, but you can change it to “Least Expensive, “Newest”, or “Oldest”.

Still, it’s pretty slick. I think it helps raise the bar for everyone supplying searches to the public. Trulia also recently launched the ability to walk the streets with their Google Street View integration.
